| JWH/Basement Tapes/Nashville Skyline/New Morning/Isle of Wight etc etc. Around '69. I reckon that wins. Least cool I guess would probably be the 80s. His current personna is pretty cool as well... |

| Coolest I would say 65/66 Although, I like his look in the Nashville and RTR periods. The 80's were baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad , apart from the Traveling Wilbury bit. _________________ "without sounding too partronizing, Im sure more people would go with you if you were a bit older" - Twood in chat 13/8/2008

| Now lock the thread what is this about?? I think his coolest was during Rolling Thunder....and 60-65 and some in between. But the Christian years were his darkest for me and the group that I would sit and listen to Bob with I think we just kind of wrote him off until he changed his act. We always knew he would come back around again once he divorced his current Christian lover.... Oh I forgot Now you can lock the Thread |

| Lock the thread, hell. He was coolest when he skinnied down from his babyft and went dangerous - paranoid? Schizzy? Who cared. He was the definition of drop-dead cool in 1965. |

| Yesterday your were Bob Dylan now you are Bop....What did bob get mad at you for taking liberties? Yes, that was when he took a Ten year Hiatus because he was toooooooo darn Thin...and the drugs were killing him if he would have actually gone to Woodstock I think we would have nothing left.... He did not quit the drugs all together but the ten years away made him gain a bit more weigh and a little more perspective. I have a picture of him where he is just a toothpick and he looked Dope Sick..... |

| All I say is that nothing kick-starts my severely depleted energy levels on platforms 1 & 2 of Aldgate tube station on a freezing November morning during the morning peak better than the tunelessly-sneered : Cold black glass don't break no mirrors Cold black water don't make no tears (Let's not even begin to discuss the "Ol' black Bascombe" alternative lyrics; Life's too short.) Needless to say, I take good care that my hand-held station P/A device is turned off as I chant this, although I believe Train Operator Jah Wobble has no such compunction. Come to think of it, the same tactic has worked pretty well for me in High Summer, too. _________________ The salmon-falls, the mackerel-crowded seas
