| Why? Because it was sitting out at the library. Awful movie. Not as awful as, say American Beauty or Touch of Evil, but definitely not good. I think Cage has been great in some great films. Raising Arizona (the best Coen Bros film by far), Vampire's Kiss, Peggy Sue Got Married, Moonstruck, Red Rock West, and Leaving Las Vegas. And some enjoyable, if not great, films like Guarding Tess, Honeymoon in Vegas, The Rock, Face Off, 8mm, Bringing Out the Dead, Matchstick Men, Lord of War, World Trade Center. All in all, as impressive a list as Deniro, Pacino, etc. _________________ Nobody can feel better than the man who is completely taken in.

| About the 5th time I've seen it. I like the film a lot, some very funny scenes. It can be a tad boring at times, but generally pretty good. |

Sure, a long list of OK and quite worthless films done for paychecks peppered with the occasional example of greatness. Same thing.
And as for Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, I love that movie. I think Sam Rockwell is one of the best actors of his generation, WAY WAY WAY better than, for example, Sean Penn. Rockwell can play anything. Look at him in that film, then in The Assassination of Jesse James, then in Galaxy Quest ("Crewman Number 6"), in Charlie's Angels..... At the end of "Confessions..." he seems to actually channel Chuck Barris when he does the Gong Show stuff. _________________ Nobody can feel better than the man who is completely taken in.

| Cage is okay if he's playing a wacky out there character, but anything else and he's usually terrible. You think Penn is bad!? Compared to Cage he's Lawrence Olivier. Cage has got to be the most annoying actor that has ever lived... it can be fun to watch his stupid movies and take the piss, but generally... awful. I often find myself laughing out loud when I really shouldnt be when I'm watching him... I saw 8mm recently... it was hilarious... Anyway, Some brilliant or at least not great but enjoyable fims that Pacino has appeared in: The Panic in Needle Park The Godfather Serpico Godfather II Dog Day Afternoon ...And Justice for All Scarface Sea of Love Dick Tracy Glengarry Glen Ross Scent of a Woman Carlito's Way Heat Donnie Brasco City Hall Looking for Richard The Insider Any Given Sunday Angels in America The Merchant of Venice ...Im missing a few Some brilliant or at least not great but enjoyable fims that De Niro has appeared in: Mean Streets Godfather II Taxi Driver Deer Hunter The Last Tycoon New York, New York Raging Bull The King of Comedy Once Upon a Time in America The Mission True Confessions Goodfellas Backdraft A Bronx Tale Casino Heat Sleepers Cop Land Jackie Brown Wag the Dog Ronin Meet the Parents The Good Shepherd ...Im missing quite a few. Those lists are a hellova lot better than Cage's... And more importantly, they have never stooped as low as 'The Wicker Man' or... well you know, the list is LOOOONG. I agree about Sam Rockwell... He's excellent. Don't you think he looks a lot like Sid Vicious? He also looks quite a lot like Mike Myers at times as well (not the one from Halloween!). But yes, Rockwell is great. |

| I've just checked the tv guide... Captain Correlli's Mandolin is on tonight. Another excellent Cage performance! |

Poppycock.
Compared to Penn, David Spade is Laurence Olivier.
As far as bad films and performances, lest us not forget Deniro's turn as Satan, aka "Louis Cypher" in Angel Heart or as "Fearless Leader in The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle or masterpieces like Analyze This, Analyze That, Meet the Parents and [douible shudder] Meet the Folkers.
Nor should we forget Pacino's turn as Satan AND Keanu Reeves' dad in The Devil's Advocate. or his role in the never-to-be-forgoptten BenLo triumph, Gigli
And nobody associated with Godfather III can ever make fun of anybody else.
Ever.
At their best, if you took the best 5 films by all 3, Cage would be in third, sure. But that's in part because people worship all this "heavy" "DRAMA" crapola more that the far more difficult comedies and Rasising Arizona - as a film and for Cage and Holly Hunter's performances - can go toe to toe with The Godfather et.al. _________________ Nobody can feel better than the man who is completely taken in.

This is an outrage! None of these films (including 'Rocky&Bullwinkle) are anywhere near as bad as: Captain Corelli's Mandolin, National Treasure, The Weather Man, The Wicker Man, Ghost Rider etc etc etc etc ete etc etc... I think you know it, you're just trying to wind me up! (I havent seen World Trade Centre, I can only imagine how terrible it is).
