| Марина Ладынина, Сергей Лукьянов, Александр Хвыля, Андрей Петров, Борис Андреев в музыкальная комедии Ивана Пырьева - "Кубанские казаки". На колхозной ярмарке встречаются представители двух процветающих кубанских колхозов - Галина Пересветова и Гордей Ворон. Они любят друг друга, но скрывают свои чувства, ведь Галина и Гордей - давние конкуренты. Они соревнуются в трудовых подвигах, и главное для каждого из них - вывести свой колхоз на первое место. Один из самых знаменитых отечественных фильмов, любимый зрителями нескольких поколений. Среди исполняемых песен -- «Ой, цветет калина», «Каким ты был», «Будьте здоровы!»

| I think it's definitely one of the better agrarian propaganda movies from the late 1940s / early 1950s.

| Приобретая новое неизвестное растение, многие не интересуются его агротехникой, особенностями, даже не знают правильного ботанического названия. Беспокойство за судьбу цветка возникает при появлении неприятных симптомов.

| That is so true. I blame the decline of the educational system. Young people just aren't interested in agronomy like earlier generations were, and we're all going to suffer in the future as a consequence. Every day I fear more for our collective, kids these days can't name half the plants. They'll be sorry the day that, in their ignorance, they accidentally eat those poison mushrooms.

| Russians like suffering and doom and gloom, because it's so romantic. Dying during a Great Struggle is also good--very satisfying.
