This great musical comedy tribute to the Blues is a lot of things, and one of them is a marvellous wish-fulfillment screenplay for anyone who's ever given up a career in the Arts for a straight job.

BB is a classic. Diggit! Ray and Aretha and ho, ho, ho, ho and Pier 1 imports and penquin and Illinoise Nazis and ....

BB2 is a horrid mess that should have never been made. What, Dan couldn't get Jim Belushi to be in the film? Oi. It might not be as bad as Caddyshack 2, but I ain't gonna watch either again to find the that answer.

Blues Brothers 2000 could never hope to approach the magic of the original. But it included Dr John's inspired reading of Donovan's 'Season Of The Witch', so will always get a coupla stars from me.
