Listen to the first 6 notes of the violin part--it almost sounds like he's setting up a tonal row, like Schoenberg.

We think of Mozart as having died tragically young, because he died at 34 and a half. I think many people don't know that Schubert died 3 years younger than Mozart.

Think of all the things Schubert might have written had he lived 3 years longer.
