I didn't know in which category I should put this (I couldn't listen to the whole songs, but I obviously noticed that she has a different style) but here it goes.

I love her as an actress, but as a musician :S I mean, its great that her style is different from all other girls's but I just can't digest her voice.. Maybe with some time and effort, I don't know..

the sets were from 1/ 'wish you were here', 2/ combo of monentary lapse' and 'division bell', 'animals' 3/ 'dark side' and then the final set covering 4/ 'the wall'.

I have not yet had the time to listen to your links regarding U2, so I'll reserve the right to change my mind after I do so, but to my ears, Bono is not a strong singer or lyricist and sets himself up for ridicule by delivering very weak lyrics with a tone of unironic sincerity that veers into bathos all too readily. "Wild Honey" is the best example of this I can recall. His singing in recent tv appearances has not sounded very good at all, although nowhere near as bad as Dylan for ...

I brought this to mind when I was posting on the Kinks thread: the particular pictorial "dream" representation of Ray Davies showed him pushing a pram around the north London suburb of Muswell Hill. I couldn't find the Ray Davies image, but I did find this:

Slippin' Away

While the old men do the fighting/And the young Men all look on/And the young girls eat their mother's meat/From tubes of Plasticon

One o'clock, two o'clock, three o'clock, four o'clock five/ Dandelion don't care about the time
