Hah! No contest, my man. No, really - NO contest. They're both wonderfully evocative artefacts of their time(s). I like 'em both on their own, and I like 'em both for what they 'wrap up' - two great collections of music.

I'm reminded of Seinfeld when I think of the word "contest." I recall that George won the contest, but later revealed that he had lied--or was it cheated? Are you master of your domain?

Robb Havassy vs. Tim Caton. Any thoughts from ya?

Robb Havassy seems to be an example of an artist that has developed his draftsman skills, but true art lovers would regard his work as kitchy. There's a commercial market for that kind of thing, which would make snobs look down on it even more.

I guess I'm too much of a snob myself to ever buy a Havassy, but I think he did a nice job on that wave.

I don't have an opinion yet. There is a punk version/cover that I seem to recall I dug more than either of these, but I don't remember the name of the band.

Have to go with the trippy Tommy original. Sucks me in, man, and I drift away.

Fantastic song. Eddie takes it to that expanding high that it's creator fails to reach.

Nancy Sinatra only did that one thing right, but it shouldn't have any video.

Some old video is timeless, but Nancy's video is so dated it looks like it's before the time of Queen Elizabeth.

I can't find the punk version of Boots, still, it is the version I like best. I speak upon the art work, but I'm still thinking about it, still thinking about what, if anything, it says to me.

OK, which Johnny is "gooder"?

I'm going with Chuck the creator with a nod to the cool covers by Peter and Jimi.

I've never known anyone who digs J.Winter. In fact, the first time I heard anything by him is that Avacado song you, Pinz, posted here. Indeed, J was definately doing the Bob, but, I didn't like it. I couldn't make it through the whole vid. Now that I'm thinking about him, does he have a song called 'Frankenstein'? And doesn't he have a brother?

There is song by Men At Work about a dude named Johnny. There is song, a solo acoustic version of a Men At Work song by the lead singer, that I like, but I don't know the name of the song. I recall that there is a line about calling Jesus on the phone contained in the lyrics. OK.

Speaking of Men at Work: Australia vs New Zealand. Hmmm?

Ozzy vs Flight of the Conchords...

I'm on my 8 or 23th play of the remastered mono Revolver. Diggit!

Better sing along song: American Pie vs Piano Man?

The winner by popular vote will step in the ring to take on 'Hey Jude.'

hey Woo!,
here you are....

Men At Work » Be Good Johnny Lyrics

Skip de skip, up the road
Off to school we go
"Don't you be a bad boy Johnny
Don't you slip up
Or play the fool"
"Oh no Ma, Oh no Da,
I'll be your golden boy
I will obey ev'ry golden rule"
Get told by the teacher
Not to day-dream
Told by my mother:

Be good Be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (Johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good (Johnny)
Be good be good.

"Are you going to play football this year, John?"
"No!"
"Oh, well you must be going to play cricket this year then,
are you Johnny?"
"No! no! no!"
"Boy, you sure are a funny kid, Johnny, but I like you! So tell me,
what kind of a boy are you, John?"

I only like dreaming
All the day long
Where no one is screaming

Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good be good (Johnny)
Be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
Be good be good be good
be good be good be good
be good be good be good
be good be good be good
Johnny!

Men At Work >>>> Hard Luck Story lyrics

Don't ask me to love my neighbour
Cause I don't love the man
Don't ask me for my favours
I won't lend a hand
And if I had real power
Then I could disappear
Wouldn't have to be around you
I'd sink into the atmosphere
Then I wouldn't hear
Your hard luck story
It's a hard luck, a hard luck story
Don't ask me to tip the waiter
For he is underhand
I can tell he is a woman hater
And he is a nasty man
Within reach lies all desire
For each and every soul
Stripped bare and stretching higher
You fall into the last balck hole
To end your hard
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
Don't ask me to pray to Jesus
I've never met the man
I only meet weekend preachers
Pictures of the promised land
All the new holy saviours
Who pretend to understand
Who do you think will save you
Modern day beggar man
Such a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's such a hard
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
Don't ask me to love my neighbour
Don't ask me to tip the waiter
Don't ask me to pray to Jesus
He picked his time to leave us
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck
Hard luck story
It's a hard luck story
Hard luck story

"Avocado Green" was recorded before Johnny Winter had figured himself out yet. He finally did, and he turned out to be a heckuva blues player.

I think his recorded version of "Johhny B. Goode" (not this live one) is probably the 2nd best rendition.

Johnny Winter also recorded the 2nd best rendition of Bob's "Highway 61."

Johnny Winter's brother Edgar was a fine sax player and piano player. The best Johnny Winter group had Edgar onboard.

I think Edgar put out an album of his own called "Frankenstein."

Wow, that J Winter version is bitchin'. Heck is he thin.

And Tat, that ain't the song, and I can't remember what it is.
So is Men At Work as big as sliced bread down there?
