I don't think the problem is that it's a freshwater otter; the problem is motivation. Motivated by personal gain and nothing more, the otter just gives the people what they want, and doesn't really put his heart into it.

Maybe it's because Dua has to play for food (while Nora plays for attention) that Dua is not the celebrity Nora is. But I find Dua to be a much better keyboardist. All the Nora clips I've seen are heavily edited to make an interesting piece, while Dua's performance seems far less edited. If these two went head-to-head, Nora would be put in her cloying place.

Nora mostly hits the same 1 or 2 notes repeatedly, while Dua is able to come up with some truly fascinating phrases, delivered with beguiling syncopation.

But to say that Nora mostly plays the same two notes makes we wonder if you listened past the first 30 seconds.

I think the modulations at 2:00 and 2:49 are particularly deft, although I'll grant they are somewhat derivative.

Yes, there are some unexpected modulations, but for some reason I get this wannabe Ligeti vibe from Nora, whereas Dua the otter is like Keith Jarrett crossed with a spring morning.
