Rome recognizes all of the Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox saints, so there's no conflict there (even though the Greek and Russian Patriarchs do not reciprocate).

But this "Church of the East" looks like a fly-by-night outfit to me.
Hindus that follow Yesu?

Yah, I think you're right. The website looks like a real wellness come-on. Some kind of sucker-trap. So we're still looking for a plausible/authentic canonization of the man without a penis....

It's not unusual to read in the Personal Columns of the popular press notices giving thanks to St Jude.

Apparently, promise of publication is part of the contract if you wish the saint to intervene in your affairs.

Given it's a hopeless cause, what do they expect of him?

Given that's he's a saint, it's difficult to see why he should expect anything at all, let alone publicity.

I guess you have to show faith somehow - even if it's an acknowledged hopeless cause. Can't be totally hopeless if praying to St Jude will do something or other.

Like they always say--it can't do any harm.
