| Modigliani was a contemporary of Picasso and lived just down the street from him in Paris. Apparently the two didn't get along very well. Modigliani was good friends with sculptor Brancusi and Soutine, who was one of the finest artist to ever paint. After the rather large funeral, Hebuterne, who was seriously pregnant with Modigliani's child, threw herself out a window. _________________ This isn't the 'so called' Warbleshinny Mastadon. Over

| Modigliani's. He was a notorious user of Absinthe and Hashish among other things. He died of tubercular meningitis. He was what some people would label as a 'free spirit'. Idiosyncratic. It wasn't that Picasso and Modigliani were enemies. Picasso sat for a portrait, and I believe Picasso attended his funeral.....Picasso didn't even attend Matisse's funeral, probably for different reasons though. Modigliani wasn't an imitator. Picasso borrowed quite a lot of Modigliani's style and tone on occasion. _________________ This isn't the 'so called' Warbleshinny Mastadon. Over
