Paul Williams was lead vocalist in the 1960s with Zoot Money's Big Roll Band. Good too.

The early readers of Crawdaddy would agree - their Paul Williams was a "dangerous freak of nature," too, tho he was nowhere near 6' 2", even in his dreams.

I recall seeing the British Paul Williams playing/singing with the Big Roll Band in the mid 60s. My recollection is that he is/was a pretty tall guy. Whatever, his version of the Nina Simone song 'Gin House Blues' (UK Columbia) was a cracker.

The US PW is, I believe, somewhat less than tall.

I think he's about 5'3" - dangerously tiny. Like Napoleon?

The producer of his first solo record said "I wanted to make him sound naked." silent
