I could be wrong, but I think it was Paul Geremia who first suggested that bluesmen ande women are singer-songwriters - and that if that was accepted they'd get more gigs.... Good plan. I love the blues. I'd love to see a separate blues forum. It would fit nicely here, or folk, or better yet in between. What do you think?

No kidding. Didn't he also do, "Good Morning Little School Girl"? How to give credit to floating songs that got copyrighted late to make a buck for people who learned that trick from traveling scholars like Alan Lomax - that's the question. Same verses turn up in dozens of blues - true mark of oral tradition, innit?
