| *** I start this thread solely so Ste can post "All of them." Then we will consider it closed. [The problem is that most really great music just goes right over his head.] |

| The interesting thing about The Beatles is that they were the only band of the era who never put out a "Best Of" album. Best Of collections were usually put out by a label because there was a lull with no new product and that was never the Beatles problem. And quite seriously, the only way you get lesser tracks is by deciding, for example, you hate Indian music (and a lot of George's styuff is "bad") or you don't like Macca's music hall melodies. And, in both cases you'd be... what's the word? Um.... oh yeah, WRONG! If I have to pick one song it would be Lennon's version of "Mister Moonlight" which has never really not annoyed me. |

Good call. It's a throw away like "What a Shame Mary Jane Had a Pain at the Party" or "You Know My Name, Look Up the Number." |

| How dare you! "You Know My Name, Look Up the Number" is brilliant! Seriously. I might be wrong here, but I seem to remember McCartney saying that it's one of his favourite Beatles songs. |
